South Florida Weather…

So what do we do when it rains? Our guys will still be there providing basic service, ensuring your pool’s chemistry is balanced despite the rain.

In the event that a tropical storm or hurricane is likely to impact our area, our staff will be focusing on balancing the chemistry of your pool. We will not be providing full service in the days preceding the storm. Things to know:

1.     It is not necessary to drain your pool prior to the storm. Excess water in the pool will not cause damage to your pool or equipment. Keep in mind that the ground will get saturated and the weight of the water in the pool will prevent the pool’s shell from popping out of the ground, causing more damage.

2.     Do not put pool furniture or other objects in the pool. This can potentially damage the pool’s shell and plumbing and create a safety hazard. Additionally, the chemicals in the pool can damage the furniture.

When the storm has passed and it is safe for our staff to return to work, we will do the following:

1.     Rebalance the chemical levels in your pool.

2.     Assess the needs of all of our client’s pools. We will visit as many of our pools as we can within the first week.

3.     Begin the clean-up process.

a.     Depending on the severity of the storm, clean up may take a few weeks. Pools may have additional debris and therefore will take longer to service. We will do our best to accomplish this as quickly as possible.

b.     If there is debris blocking access to the pool area, we will not be able to service your pool until the debris is removed. For the safety of our staff, please remove any broken glass or sharp debris to allow safe access to your pool area.

c.     There may be additional fees for clean-up. We will notify you prior to doing the work if this is the case.

d.     We are not able to remove large landscaping debris, such as fallen trees, or construction debris from your pool.

4.     If there is damage to pool equipment, we will notify you as soon as we can to begin the repair/replacement. PLEASE NOTE: We do not work directly with insurance companies.

Your safety is important to us. If you have a special need due to the storm, please contact us and we will let you know if we can assist you. Please remember that we will also be preparing our homes for the storm as well and will do our best to be available to you.
